You Have to Cure Cancer to Clean the Toilets

It is so weird that my time here in Vegas is coming to a close. I'm doing a ton of blogging preparation for finals and packing up all my stuff into boxes to move. Again.
For those of you just joining me, I am from Utah. I moved to Las Vegas to go to college, but it's turning out to cost way too much money for the time being, so I've got to go home.
I have really enjoyed living here, in fact, I'm not feeling like I want to leave at all.  More than that, I don't want to pack up all of my stuff and drive it 400 miles back home.
I can almost hear you judging me for the bitstrips. Stop that right now. They are hilarious.

I find some of the funniest ones on there. It's like they know about my life, I swear.

But I suppose that going home will give me some time to focus on some Soldiering, blogging, and moneying. Okay, maybe moneying isn't actually a thing.  But really, I need to be putting all my money's in the bank and only spending what my bills force me to spend.

It's pretty crazy though how many options I truly have. My aunt offered to let me come live with her in Oregon for free.  That is a pretty crazy but completely probably option.

Mostly though, I'm just tearing my hair out looking for a job. I've applied at a billion places and I feel like my resume isn't nearly competitive enough.  But here's the thing, I'm only 20! Do they think that I should have solved world hunger by now?! I swear, you have to cure cancer for someone to let you clean their toilets.
To be honest I'm sort of missing my old headset. I don't regret quitting, but it was a good stable job...well usually it was stable.  There I felt Like I was OVER qualified...Now I feel like I have to lead a march on Washington and give a speech more memorable the "I have a dream" to get a second look!
After an entire day of changing my cover letter, fixing my resume, and applying to anything full time, I got some help from a friend and hopefully she can get me a solid job that I won't hate.
I don't want this to be my life.
Oh the life of a 20-something! It's just so much fun isn't it?!

Job hunting is a full-time job. I got really sick last year and lost my job. First time being unemployed since I was old enough to have a work permit. And its was scary with having a mortgage and all. I lucked out and landed a temp job after two months (longest and most stressful two months of my life). I'm still at that temp job... and still a temp. But, its better than nothing. Have you tried a temp agency? They can be great resume builders. :)

Keep your head up sweet girl! Everything happens for a reason. Moving back home was such a pride killer for me, but I was also so thankful that I had somewhere to go :)

When my youngest boy moved back home it was a bittersweet time for us. I loved having him back home and he was filled with defeat. We both worked through it and he is now married with a son, a fulfilling job and their own place. It'll all work out.

I completely understand about trying to find a job. It's difficult and frustrating and makes me want to cry like a little baby!
