Progress

As I write this, I am eating lasagna for breakfast and thinking about all the homework that I should be doing instead of writing this.  College life is tough. But I feel like doing some writing, so here I am.

This year, I've been focusing on different goals.  I updated you here on how that's going, but I failed to mention that I've chosen a word to theme this whole year around. I thought for a while about it, and I decided on this:

Having goals is a really important part of my life.  Without them, I'd probably never get anything done.  I've been focusing on using my planner which has helped a lot and I've been overall making an effort to work towards...more and better.  Lately I have been really stressed out.  I missed a couple days of school, I've been sick, and I don't have enough money for...anything.  So I just keep reminding myself that my focus is Progress.

Life is hard and hectic and I'm struggling to stay positive lately, but I'm working hard to remember...Progress. Every day I'm taking steps in the right direction and heading towards better days.

How do you look at things when you're feeling like life is getting you down? Do you have a word that you work to focus your goals around?

  3. girl, this is exactly how I felt while I was in the middle of my bachelor's degree! You can do it! Just focus on the small triumphs and before you know it, you'll be there! I believe in you!

  4. I think everybody gets that feeling in college. There is so many things to do and so much stuff that costs money. I remember thinking if I could just make it to that night, tomorrow would be better. I would be refreshed and things would have a better outlook. And when I thought things were really bad I asked myself if that thing would really matter 7 or 8 years down the road. Obviously most of the time it didn't.

  5. I literally felt like that all the time in college. Everything would be going great and then all of a sudden something would happen or I would lose focus on my goals and I would have another emotional "what am I doing with my life" crisis. It gets better, but I definitely still have some of those days now. Keep on keepin' on girl! You got it.

  6. Thanks, Chelsie! I'm really working hard on all this. Life is tough and I feel like I'm getting closer to what I want every day, but it can get so discouraging. I'm loving everyone's positive comments though. It's helping me for sure.
